Christian Activist Convicted Of Kidnapping Child Of Gay Parents
NEW YORK: Christian Activist Convicted Of Kidnapping Child Of Gay Parents, Faces Eight Years In Prison
September 29, 2016 Christianists, Crime, Religion
The Associated Press reports:
Earlier this year Pastor Kenneth Miller (no relation) was sentenced to 27 months in prison after losing his appeal. The whereabouts of Isabella Miller-Jenkins remains unknown.
RELATED: On the same day in 2012 that Kenneth Miller was found guilty of abetting the kidnapping of Isabella to Nicaragua, lesbian mom Janet Jenkins filed a RICO lawsuit against many of the parties suspected of conspiring in the crime, including Liberty University, the parent of the vile anti-gay hate group Liberty Counsel, whose president Mat Staver was specifically named in the suit. In July 2015 the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court’s ruling that Liberty University’s liability insurance policy covers such lawsuits. In 2012 American Family Association radio host Bryan Fischer called for the creation of an “underground railroad” to aid Christians who kidnap the children of gay parents.
A Virginia businessman was convicted Thursday of international parental kidnapping and conspiracy for helping a mother take her daughter out of the country to avoid losing custody to her former partner.Zodhiates will be sentenced on January 30th and faces eight years in prison.
A federal jury in Buffalo returned the verdict against Philip Zodhiates, of Waynesboro, on Thursday after hearing during a weeklong trial how he had driven Lisa Miller and 7-year-old Isabella Miller-Jenkins from Virginia to the Canadian border in 2009 so they could fly from Toronto to Nicaragua, and had helped with their living arrangements in the Central American nation.
Neither Miller nor Isabella, now 14, have been seen in the United States since.
Lawyers for Zodhiates, the owner of a direct mail business that serves conservative Christian groups, denied that he was trying to obstruct the other mother’s parental rights by helping Miller, who became an evangelical Christian after dissolving her civil union with Janet Jenkins in Vermont.
Miller, who gave birth to Isabella during the civil union, defied court orders granting Jenkins visitation and left the country shortly before a court shifted custody to Jenkins, Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Van de Graaf said.

Space Declared LGBTQ Friendly as Pride Flag is Sent 21.1 Miles Over Earth
Space Declared LGBTQ Friendly as Pride Flag is Sent 21.1 Miles Over Earth: WATCH
The global nonprofit organization Planting Peace just sent a Pride flag into space for the first time, to
make a point:
On August 17, Planting
Peace sent the first pride flag into space, and in doing so, declared
space LGBTQ friendly. The primary purpose of this declaration is to
support the ongoing fight for the fundamental human rights of our LGBTQ
family, moving us closer
to a universal understanding that all people deserve to live freely and
love freely without fear and discrimination.
To achieve this, we used a high altitude balloon with a GoPro attached,
and launched just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The pride flag was
airborne for just over three hours before making its way back to earth.
At its peak altitude, the flag soared 21.1
miles above the earth’s surface.
Our hope was to create the largest safe SPACE possible for our LGBTQ
community. It also offered us a chance to reinforce, in a peaceful,
beautiful way, our ongoing message to our LGBTQ family:
You are loved, valued and beautiful.
There is nothing wrong with you.
You are not alone, and we will stand with you.
Now if Elon Musk could
just get us to Mars.

Hillary Clinton - FACTS
If you're over 35, you lived through it, so read it and recollect.
Amazing to me how much I had forgotten! For those under 35, read this,
verify and don't forget.

When Bill Clinton was president, he allowed Hillary to assume authority over an attempt to health care reform. Even after threats and intimidation, she couldn't get a vote in a Democrat controlled US Congress. This fiasco cost the American taxpayers about $13 million for studies, promotion, and other efforts.
Then, President Clinton gave Hillary authority over selecting a female attorney general. Her first two selections were Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood - both were forced to withdraw their names from consideration.
Next, she chose Janet Reno - husband Bill described her selection as "my worst mistake."
Some may not remember that Reno made the decision to gas David Koresh and the Branch Davidian religious sect in Waco, Texas resulting in dozens of deaths of women and children.
Husband Bill allowed Hillary to make recommendations for the head of the Civil Rights Commission. Lani Guanier was her selection. When a little probing led to the discovery of Ms. Guanier's radical views, her name had to be withdrawn from consideration.
Apparently a slow learner, husband Bill allowed Hillary to make some more recommendations. She chose former law partners Web Hubbel for the Justice Department, Vince Foster for the White House staff, and William Kennedy for the Treasury Department.
Her selections went well: Hubbel went to prison, Foster (presumably) committed suicide, and Kennedy was forced to resign.
Many younger voters will have no knowledge of "Travelgate." Hillary wanted to award unfettered travel contracts to Clinton friend Harry Thompson - and the White House Travel Office refused to comply. She managed to have them reported to the FBI and fired. This ruined their reputations, cost them their jobs, and caused a thirty-six month investigation. Only one employee, Billy Dale was charged with a crime, and that of the enormous crime of mixing personal and White House funds. A jury acquitted him of any crime in less than two hours.
Still not convinced of her ineptness, Hillary was allowed to recommend a close Clinton friend, Craig Livingstone, for the position of Director of White House security. When Livingstone was investigated for the improper access of about 900 FBI files of Clinton enemies (Filegate) and the widespread use of drugs by White House staff, suddenly Hillary and the president denied even knowing Livingstone, and of course, denied knowledgenof drug use in the White House.
Following this debacle, the FBI closed its White House Liaison Office after more than thirty years of service to seven presidents.
Next, when women started coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment and rape by Bill Clinton, Hillary was put in charge of the "bimbo eruption" and scandal defense. Some of her more notable decisions in the debacle were:
She urged her husband not to settle the Paula Jones lawsuit. After the Starr investigation they settled with Ms. Jones.
She refused to release the Whitewater documents, which led to the appointment of Ken Starr as Special Prosecutor.
After $80 million dollars of taxpayer money was spent, Starr's investigation led to Monica Lewinsky, which led to Bill lying about and later admitting his affairs. Hillary's devious game plan resulted in Bill losing his license to practice law for 'lying under oath' to a grand jury and then his subsequent impeachment by the House of Representatives.
Hillary avoided indictment for perjury and obstruction of justice during the Starr investigation by repeating, "I do not recall," "I have no recollection," and "I don't know" a total of 56 times while under oath.
After leaving the White House, Hillary was forced to return an estimated $200,000 in White House furniture, china, and artwork that she had stolen.
What a swell person - ready for another four or eight years of this low-life fool?
Now we are exposed to the insecure keeping and attempted destruction of beyond Top Secret emails while Hillary was US Secretary of State and the "pay to play" schemes of the Clinton Foundation. What "shoe will fall" next?
But to her loyal fans: "What difference does it make?"

Reject Hate. Support And Defend Human Rights
I
am alarmed by the hateful and dangerous rhetoric coming from
politicians across Europe and the United States. Demonizing Muslims,
scapegoating refugees, justifying torture, banning entire populations
based on who they are or what they believe in.
Polarizing “us-versus-them” rhetoric is no longer just part of the fringe — it’s now the norm of our political discourse.
It’s up to you — and everyone who values basic human rights principles — to take a stand. Take action now: reject the politics of intolerance and hate. Pledge your support for human rights values today.
Human
Rights Watch has been combating discrimination and xenophobia for
decades — championing immigration reform in the US, fighting for freedom
of religion, and defending the rights and dignity of refugees
worldwide.
We must not allow the rising threat of racism and hate violate our most basic principles of humanity.
Will you stand with us?
Thank you,

This Syrian Couple’s Reunion Will Make You Believe In True Love

“Nothing tastes better than seeing you another time, and to be with you forever and ever. I’ve finally done it!”
Both men were caught between happiness and melancholy, knowing that making their relationship work long-distance would be hard; there was no news on Omar’s resettlement application.
Since same-sex partnership or marriage isn’t legal in their homeland or in Turkey, despite being engaged the couple couldn’t have their files with the UNHCR joined. If they were a heterosexual Syrian couple, the situation would have been a lot easier, and they would have both been saved a lot of mental torment.
Six months pass after Nader’s arrival to Bergen, Norway, and the couple have remained in contact, despite the uncertainty of ever seeing each other again.
At the airport, Nader waits anxiously for Omar’s plane to arrive from Istanbul.
Carrying a single rose for Omar, it’s difficult for Nader to contain his excitement.
Then, the moment finally arrives…
…and after months of separation, Omar and Nader are reunited in Bergen.
On the verge of tears, Omar is led into his new apartment and greeted with a surprise.
Nader has filled the room with candles in the shape of a heart — and in the middle, they’ve been arranged to make the letters “N” and “O,” for their first initials.
The contents of the two suitcases that contained his life show the fluid dichotomy of Omar’s identity as gay and Muslim: bright-pink penis slippers, a Muslim prayer mat, Syrian and Turkish sweets, a dildo, a rainbow flag, a Qur’an, skimpy underwear, winter jackets, and a semi-transparent belly-dancing outfit.Making a new city one’s home takes time. Nader and Omar are both studying Norwegian and have plenty of opportunities ahead of them. Leaving behind the stepping-stone that was Istanbul, a place where Nader initiated a weekly meeting for Arabic-speaking LGBT refugees called “Tea & Talk,” and a thriving city where the couple lived through a thousand different emotions, the two have found a rare happy ending.
On his first morning in Bergen, Omar said, “Look, I didn’t have to come by boat and walk through Europe — I came by plane! When it took off I said, ‘Thank god!’”
Soon reality began to hit the pair, and they found themselves happily holding each other on their sofa, smiling.
