Portland Taxi told a reporter: "If the gays don’t want to use our company, that’s better for us.”

  1. " “If the gays don’t want to use our company, that’s better for us.” "

When the person for the Portland Taxi would have said:

"“If the jews don’t want to use our company, that’s better for us.”, or "“If the blacks don’t want to use our company, that’s better for us.”, what then would have been the reaction?

The first sure would have resulted in an uproar among the Jewish people of Portland, and the whole nation, calling it anti-Semitic and anti-Semitism, , and when the latter would have been said by the person representing, or speaking for the Portland Taxi, the whole Black Community together with all the organizations representing the Black People would be in all states and demanding the arrest of the individual, because of racism!

Why is not the whole nation in uproar when the individual refers demeaning to gays, homosexuals?

Isn't it shocking to realize that in the year 2016, the 21st century in a country like America a spokesperson for a company openly and without reservation can say that when a certain group of customers do not want to use the services of that company it's be better for that company?

And that when this same spokesperson would used Jews or Blacks instead of Gays he would have been (to put it mildly) been pecked and feathered?

I think it is outrageous that in the America of 2016 it is possible that companies can have spokespersons, showing the attitude of the company, that demean homosexual people!

Jews can not help it they are Jewish, Black people can not help it that they are Black, and Gay people can not help it that they are Gay!

I think this company should be shown a clear signal, namely that when they want to remain in business, they must change their attitude, or loose their license!

This Portland Taxi company has, as far as I am concerned crossed the line of decency and in fct should be put on trial as a company and not just the driver who yelled gay slurs to homosexual people!

The management of this company is sickening and such people should never ever have a license to offer a service to the public!

    My opinion!
