The beating of a single butterfly's wing

The beating of a single butterfly's wing on one continent can, under the right conditions, trigger a process that eventually creates a hurricane elsewhere in another. That may sound implausible, but it is a suggestion taken seriously by scientists.  Imagine then, the impact we all have on each other and on our environment, every day.  We are none of us islands.  We are all invisibly inter-linked.
